Monday is for Myron
By Douglas C. Spatafore Jr.

On Sunday, Jan. 18 the Pittsburgh Steelers welcome the Baltimore “Purple Pigeons” to Heinz Field.
Currently in the NFL, there may be no greater rivalry. Honestly it ranks at one of the best in sports period and this game will not disappoint.
If you’re like me, then you may not sleep much in anticipation of the blood bath that will surely take place.
In honor of our beloved Stillers, I think it only fitting to pay homage to them this week and relish the fact that they will stomp all over the hated Ravens this Sunday in Da’ Burgh.
Monday is for Mr. Myron Cope, a Pittsburgh Legend, who left Pittsburghers’ with our beloved Terrible Towels.
Any non-Pittsburgh fan may call it nothing more than a glorified dish rag, but we know it’s more than that and holds the hopes and prayers of Steeler Fans worldwide together.
After all Edgar Allen Poe, a second-rate poet and writer left Baltimore with nothing more than a stupid mascot. FYI, he wasn’t even born in Baltimore, he’s from Boston.
So get your Terrible Towels out now and wave them proudly this week.
It’s go time baby, HERE WE GO!

Below is a link for a short video tribute to Mr. Cope

Thank you for time and God Bless Steeler Nation.
