D-FENCE

By: D. Spat.

In the end Sunday’s Stillers-Ravens game is going to come down to Defense.
The Steelers have the best overall defense in the league thus far and the Ravens are second.
Let’s face it, the Steelers defense may be the best ever.
This is a cliché game and I can’t wait for it. I really just can’t wait; it’s going to be an all out war.
I’d rather see this game played in a busted up parking lot in Aliquippa.
Lambert, Blount and Greene.
What do those three have in common, well they were part of the greatest defense every, the famed Steel Curtain.
But, the Steelers have two of the best ever right now: James Harrison and Troy Polamalu.
Harrison joins Lambert, Blount and Greene as Stillers, who’ve won NFL Defensive Player of the
Year honors and rightfully so as Harrison turned in a tremendous year setting a new single season record for sacks.
Harrison is by far the best linebacker in the game.
Polamalu, the best safety in the game right now could also be the single most exciting defensive player. Hey, he might be the single most exciting player in the league right now period.
Both Harrison and Polamalu have several things in common: They’re tough as nails, play the game with wreck less abandon and both are GAME CHANGERS.
Surely both will play an incredibly key role in Sunday’s Epic Battle.
I finally found a defensive highlight film to RENEGADE, by Styx.
The Steelers will ride Styx all the way to Tampa.
Afterall as Julian said on Sonny’s behalf in Big Daddy.
“He taught me to pee on a building and that Styx is the greatest band in the world and the only got a bad rep because most critics are cynical A$$holes!”

This is highlight film of Polamalu and the two greatest interceptions of all-time.

Some of you hardcore Steelers fans might say hey weren’t there five Steelers to win the Defensive Player of the Year award.
Yes you are correct!
Along with Lambert, Blount, Greene and Harrison one other Stiller has one the award.
Good ole’ Rod Woodson.
Some call him the greatest corner and free safety to ever play the game.
I have to strongly disagree. Afterall he sucked in the ’95 Superbowl and played for the Hated Ravens, sorry but he’ll always be a trader.
And to that he also ruined my first ever Steeler game.
I was there 1996 at Memorial Stadium, 50-yard line, 25 degrees out and freezing rain.
My dad and I sat there freezing and on the Raven’s second TD of the day Woodson got beat so bad I can’t even put it to words as Vinny Testerverde hit Derrick Anderson for a TD.
The Ravens went on to win 31-17.
The say time heals everything, I just don’t know. A Steeler win Sunday, would help heal my broke heart.
